Links to Confluence information (Pages, Child Pages, other Spaces)

  • navigate to the page you would like to add a link to and select Edit
  • From the editing menu, select the Insert Link option
  • From the menu that appears select the Search option
  • Search for the name of the page you would like to add
  • The drop down menu will provide you with an option to refine your search, Either to search all of conflunce or within a particular space.
  • Select the page you would like to link to
  • Use the Link Text option to set the Name of the link as it is displayed on the page.
  • Click Insert when complete
  • Utilize the Preview option to test the link as well as your layout.
  • Select Update when complete

This process is best utilized for uploading files like PDFs, MS Office Document, and other file formats.  The will upload the document to the page so it can be easily accessed.

  • Navigate to the page you would like to add a link to and select Edit
  • From the editing menu, select the Insert Link option
  • From the menu that appears select the Files option
  • Select the browse button and navigate and find the file you would like to add.  Click Choose
  • Use the Link Text option to set the Name of the link as it is displayed on the page.
  • Click Insert when complete
  • Utilize the Preview option to test the link as well as your layout.
  • Select Update when complete

Confluence will allow you to create links to other website on the internet.  This can be useful if you need to direct users to a specific website for information or external resource.

  • Navigate to the page you would like to add a link to and select Edit
  • From the editing menu, select the Insert Link option
  • From the menu that appears select the Web Link option
  • Utilize the Address field to enter the specific website you would like to add.  For example, https://inside.ptsem.edu or http://www.google.com could be entered for ease of use.
  • Use the Link Text option to set the Name of the link as it is displayed on the page.
  • Click Insert when complete
  • Utilize the Preview option to test the link as well as your layout.
  • Select Update when complete
