Digital Media Services

The Department of Digital Media’s primary focus is in support of teaching and learning through the use of digital media. The department provides classroom and event support for students, faculty, staff and the larger PTS community. The heart of the department is the Digital Media Production Center that includes the production studio, podcasting suite, editing suites and the Digital Media support center.

Media Requests

The Department of Digital Media provides support as requested through our Media Request Form. Media requests must be made 5 business days in advance of the event to guarantee availability and support. Requests for video recordings must be made 3 weeks prior to the event. Streamed events and videoconferences should be scheduled 4-6 weeks in advance, depending upon the complexity of the event. Non-seminary groups and events will have their media request submitted by the department of Hospitality and Event Services. Fees apply for after-hours tech support and the use of media by non-seminary groups and for non-seminary sponsored events.

Classroom support

Most equipment in our classrooms is “self-service”. If you require our support or require a technical review please note that in your Media Request Form. It is our goal to make users totally familiar with the user-friendly technology in our classrooms. If you are familiar and run into an issue, please contact our support desk at your location. Media services are only available in locations with installed or dedicated equipment.

Event/Meeting Support

Digital Media provides support for seminary sponsored on-campus meetings, conferences and events as requested. Technical reviews are required of each presenter to help them become familiar with the equipment in their location. Users may supply their own computers, but are responsible for bringing the appropriate adaptor for the desired location. On-site support may be available upon request. Media support for student groups and non-seminary sponsored events is limited to Monday-Friday from 8:00am-5:00pm. Fees may apply for services outside of business hours or when classes are out of session. See Classrooms Support Page for online tutorials and tech support.  Onsite support is only available for an additional fee.  Media services are only available in locations with installed or dedicated equipment. Use of seminary media equipment is prohibited for meetings and/or events that take place in seminary locations that are not coordinated through the Department of Hospitality and Events.
